Daniel V. Krause

Daniel V. Krause, 88, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 4, 2026 at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina. He was born on November 11, 1937 in Buffalo, New York to the late Vincent & Eugenia Dusza Krause.

Along with his parents, Dan is reunited in passing with his sister, Carolyn Scarpace.

Daniel proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was proud of his military service and was well decorated for his dedication. Following his honorable separation, Dan went into the workforce. His eye for detail and extensive knowledge of his field made his expertise well sought after. Daniel was considered the "Mad Scientist" of the family due to his career in scientific research and development. Daniel helped pioneer many projects that we still use today. In his free time, Daniel found peace while playing the piano and relished time spent with family and friends. He loved to travel in the family RV…when it was running. Daniel was proudly known for his ability to remain calm, cool and collected in difficult situations. His passion for tinkering with his many projects at work and at home equipped him with the confidence to take on any obstacle. Above all else, Daniel loved his family with his whole heart. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, his ability to be a "Jack of all Trades," his love for technology and computers and most importantly - the love he had for his family.

Left to cherish Dan's memory are his adoring wife, with whom they celebrated 60 years of marriage recently, Mrs. Carol Ann Perry Krause of Conway, SC; their children, David Krause of Buffalo, NY, Michael Krause and wife Nicole of Elma, NY & Debbie Krause-Giambalvo and wife, Laura of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Rachael (Colton), Connor (Kayla), Nicholas & Madeline; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn & Bentley; brother, Larry Krause and his wife Mary Ann of Herndon, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Dan's life will be held at the Ebenezer United Church of Christ in West Seneca, NY. Will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026.

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Daniel's name may be made to Tunnel to Towers or to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospitals.
