Daniel Kromm Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel - Minneapolis on Sep. 11, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Daniel B. Kromm, age 77, of Minneapolis died September 10th, 2025 after fighting a long illness. He was born on January 20th, 1948, to the late John and Lucille (Ott) Kromm in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. At an early age Dan's parents moved and brought the younger family members with them to Cloquet, Minnesota.
Daniel was self-employed and ran his accounting firm "Daniel B. Kromm, M.B.A., C.P.A." out of Cloquet, Minnesota for many years until selling the business to an employee in 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents (John and Lucille), two brothers and two sisters: Larry (aka John), Thomas, Joan and Karen.
Dan had many nieces and nephews and we would like to recognize those that were there to assist him in his transition from complete independence to his need for assistance with his medical challenges: Sue McLinn (niece), Thomas Kromm (nephew), Dean Kromm (nephew), John Kromm (grand-nephew), and "little Brother" Anthony Mikelonis. We would also like to recognize a special friend and caregiver Steven Fierro who was there with Dan in his final moments.
A thank you goes out to all those hard-working caregivers at Catholic Eldercare in Minneapolis who took such good care of Dan in his final days. A special thank you goes out to Sharon, Dan's hospice nurse who was a true blessing for Dan and was someone who could always put a smile on his face.
Following Dan's wishes there will be no funeral service. Dan will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on September 18, 2025 at 12:30 in a private ceremony.
