Daniel Kurta

Daniel (Dan) Austin Kurta, Age 46 of Horseheads died unexpectedly in his sleep July 6, 2023. Dan was employed by Cameron Manufacturing in Quality Control. He graduated from Horseheads High School, and moved to Orlando, Florida for several years. He enjoyed his Jeep, hard rock music, and playing Xbox with his nephew Draven who is stationed in Japan, watching sports, and talking sports with is mom. Dan was born in Dearborn, Michigan and subsequently rooted for every Detroit and Michigan based teams, especially the Detroit Red Wings. Dan is survived by his mother, Dorothy Kurta, sister Michelle, nephews Draven, Dakota, Xander, Xayn, and Jaxyn, niece Izzabella, maternal grandmother Marleah Kemmerer, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 2007. Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Scotchtown Cemetery, Erin, NY.
