Daniel D. Lenihan Sr.

Daniel D. Lenihan, Sr., of Levittown, died Sunday, February 11, 2024 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 71 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, Dan was a lifelong Bristol Township resident and a 1971 graduate of Bishop Egan High School.
He went on to graduate from the Philadelphia Police Academy and Bucks County Community College. Dan served his community with the Bristol Township Police Department and retired as Sergeant after 29 years of service.
Dan was a member of the Bucks County F.O.P., Lodge #53 and enjoyed fishing, trains, woodworking, and restaurants. Without a doubt, the most important thing to him was the love and time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends. Dan will be remembered for his generosity, his hilarious stories, and his ability to run into a friend anywhere he went.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Bernhart Lenihan; two children, Daniel, Jr. (Michelle), Susanne Ritchie (Sean), and his two grandchildren, Anya & Jack Ritchie.
Dan will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Sr. Rita Lenihan and Mary McLaughlin (Joe) and his two brothers, Tim Lenihan, Sr. (Sharon), and Jack Lenihan. He was the brother of the late William Lenihan, Jr. (Jeannette), and Harry Paul Lenihan, and the son of the late William Lenihan, Sr. and Mary Lenihan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
His Life Celebration will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc., 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and again Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mark's cemetery, Bristol, PA
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Daniel's name can be made to Concerns of Police Survivors, an organization dedicated to supporting the families and coworkers of fallen law enforcement officers.
