Daniel Sidney Longnecker

To the Longnecker family - As a visiting medical student from England, Dan and Louise warmly welcomed me to the Upper Valley in 1982, inviting me to their home for several suppers to meet people and encouraging me to sing with the Handel Society chorus. Dan also shaped my career as an academic pathologist over many years. Always kind, thoughtful and pragmatic, his important legacy as a teacher, mentor, and prolific scholar influenced the lives of many students, trainees and physicians. We are all so grateful.

To my East Coast Cousins, so sorry for your loss of such a great man!! I will miss my Uncle Dan. You all will have to continue with the great stories - our bridge of communication is gone!! Love you all!!

To Tom and the rest of the Longnecker clan: my deepest sympathies to you. I remember your father as a kind soul who was quick to smile and laugh. I hope you are well and wish you the best.
