Daniel Z. Lopez

Daniel Z. Lopez, of La Coste passed away October 23, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born December 1, 1942 in Bexar County, Texas to Luciano Lopez, Sr. and Mauricia Zepeda Lopez.
Daniel graduated from Medina Valley High School in 1960. He went to barber school and worked on the West Side of San Antonio. He opened his own Barber Shop in La Coste in 1968 and worked for over fifty years as a barber. Daniel was a life-long fan of the Medina Valley Panthers football team and loved attending the games. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste and would attend mass every weekend. Daniel loved his nieces and nephews and spending time with them. He also enjoyed going to the farm and cooking BBQ.
Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Roberta Lopez, Mary Helen Lopez, and Olga Lopez all of La Coste; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Lopez, Sr., Henry Lopez, Sr., and Luciano Z. Lopez, Jr.; sisters, Ester Tapia (James), Helen Guevara (Victor), and Teodora Arguello (Eduardo).
Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
