Daniel “Dan” Maher, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 54.
Born on April 18, 1971, in Manchester, Connecticut, Dan graduated from Methodist College and spent more than 20 years as a sales manager with Emerson/Nidec. He married Shauna Shuchat Maher, and they shared 28 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Justin Maher and cared deeply for Justin’s wife, Ashlee, always excited for their future.
Dan is remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and genuine care for others. He loved coaching youth baseball, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Red Sox, playing golf, and spending time on the lake with family and friends.
Although the past few years brought difficult struggles, they are only one part of Dan’s story. His legacy lives in the love he gave, the people he cared for, and the memories cherished by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by Shauna; Justin and Ashlee; his father, Bob Maher; and his siblings, Julie and Mike. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Maher.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Sunday, November 23, at the Pine Bluff Lodge at the Navy Lake Site on Allatoona,166 Sandtown Road, Cartersville, GA, during the 1:00 p.m. Steelers game.
