Daniel Manning Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center - Murray on Dec. 5, 2026.
Daniel F. Manning passed away on December 5, 2025.
Danny was born on June 25, 1945. Son of Daniel H. Manning and Francis Manning (Tuckey).

Danny loved being outdoors. His favorite activity was fishing. If he wasn't walking the Valley of Salt Lake collecting cans. He was fishing, or walking to his relatives homes for visits.

Danny had a special attachment to dogs. There wasn't a beastie that he saw that wasn't cuddled and loved by him.

Danny married his sweetheart Maurine Meisel on August 8, 1987. Exactly two years later they were sealed for eternity at the Salt Lake Temple.

"Danny lived @ Holladay Home for 26 years. He was a blessing to all who knew him. He was the first on the scene to help you. Danny always wanted to hold a hand or a purse to keep you safe He was a huger. Danny would give compliments all the time.

One afternoon he took Maurine and Harrison, Debbie's dog for a ride. When stopping for a red light on Vine St and Highland Dr. (how did he get a license! lol.) a men behind him came running up to the car door and told Danny his car was on fire. Debbie got a call from the police and yes he made the news. The car was so destroyed that even the tires burnt the asphalt. He was able to get Maurine and Harrison out safely, but needless to say that was the last time he drove.

There so many things he did that made us laugh. Danny would let any bad feelings role off his shoulders no matter what, and quickly you were back to being his best friend again. Truly Debbie had the opportunity to serve the King and Queen in the family of God. He is a giant. Now Danny and Maurine are together, most likely skipping together as little children.

Danny was kind and loving and had a great sense of humor in his special way. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed.

Matthew 18: 4
“4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven,”

We love you Danny

Preceded in death by his wife Maurine Manning (Meisel). Father Daniel Manning Mother Francis Manning (Tuckey)
