Daniel C. McGill, 64 of Manchester, NJ passed away on Tuesday October 31st, 2023. Daniel was born in Pequannock, NJ and spent most of his life living in Haskell, NJ before moving to Manchester about 2 years ago. Daniel graduated from Chubb Institute, and retired as a Network Architect from Becton Dickinson Franklin Lakes Campus and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Daniel was a member of both St. Francis of Assisi Church and Midvale United Methodist Church. Daniel was a brave man who loved to try new things. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and enjoyed playing all sports, camping, skiing, hiking, bodysurfing, kayaking, boating, crabbing and exploring. He always put on the best firework displays. Daniel was a kind, inclusive and strong person who made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he will be missed by his loving family and friends.
Daniel was predeceased by his father, Charles A. McGill. He is survived by his loving mother Mary McGill of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, fiancé and life partner Lyn, Lyn's children Cindy (Jason), Anthony (Katrina), Kimmi (Cole), Lyn's Grandchildren Jaymes and Jack, his sisters Deborah (Ted), Patricia (Greg), and Lorreen (Martin), his brothers Ken (Margaret) and Terry (Betsy), his nieces Kate (David), Mary (Wayne), Amy, Laura (Trevor), Alyssa (George), and Megan, his nephews Evan (Shar), Terry (Shannon), Charlie, and Matty, his great-nieces Evie, Maggie, Anabel, and Elora, and his great-nephews Caleb and Georgie, and his lifelong friend Barry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 11th, 2023 from 2:30-5:30pm with a brief religious service beginning at 5pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday January 13th, 2024 from 3-7pm at the American Legion Post 242 Hall at 700 Newark Pompton Turnpike Pompton Plains, NJ 07444. The family asks that you please bring a covered dish of food and a beverage of your choice.
