Daniel McKune passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply. His passing is a profound loss to all who knew him.
He was born in Louisville on March 25, 1957 and worked in construction for Intertech Mechanical Services.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Betty Jo Eve McKune; son Joseph McKune; grandson, Keayland McKune; and brother, Pat McKune.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Keeta McKune; children, Danielle McKune, Mary Kathrine McKune, Rebecca McKune, Alexandria Sanchez (Irian), Ethan McKune (Courtney); brother, Mark McKune; sister, Kathy Harlan (Philip); grandchildren, Josh Daniel Fried, Jazzlynn Fried, Scarlett Stevens, Maddex McKune, and Joseph Curtis McKune; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loving family members and friends.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church 5915 Outer Loop with burial to follow in St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday at Ratterman Embry Bosse Funeral Home 2723 Preston Hwy.
Memorial gifts may be made to Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS).
