Daniel Eric Mehl

Daniel Eric Mehl, 54, of Bellaire passed away on October 28, 2025 at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.

Born on December 16, 1970, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Donald Edwin Mehl Sr., and Diane Geraldine (Palmer) Mehl Kolenich.

Daniel dedicated a significant portion of his life working as a laborer for Kroger in Bellaire.

Outside of his professional life, Daniel was a man of simple joys and profound passions. An avid fisherman, he found peace and contentment in the quiet moments by the water's edge. He was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on. His enthusiasm extended to his fantasy football team, where he relished the camaraderie and competition it brought into his life.

Above all, Daniel was a dedicated father who was deeply involved in the lives of his two autistic daughters. His unwavering love and support were a testament to his character, and his devotion to their happiness and wellbeing was unparalleled.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his siblings; Donald Mehl Jr., and Debra McGinnis.

Survivors include his wife, Sondra T. (Moore) Mehl, beloved daughters; Emilee Josephine Mehl and Daniele Erica Mehl, brother, David (Jill) Mehl Sr., of Shadyside Ohio, sisters in law; Donna (Bill) Hicks of Mt. Pleasant Ohio and Cantina Jeffers of Tiltonsville, Ohio, and brother in law; Dave (Diana) McGinnis Sr., of Shadyside Ohio.

Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends also are left to cherish his memory.
