Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Dan. The world indeed lost a bright soul. May you be comforted during this difficult time by the love and memories you shared. I know how deeply he loved and respected his family.
I wanted to share with you that we held a brief memorial for Dan. His obituary was read aloud and we honored Dan with a moment of silence. It was truly a testament to the man he was and impact on all of us who knew him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the untimely death of Danny. He was very special . I had Danny in Grade 1 in St. Patrick's School in Bedford,NY. He is a very bright and loving young man. My love and prayers go out to his wife and family as well as all the Meskills.

Here is sit broken hearted...... Normally Dan would be the one to finish that riddle, but, today, I truly am broken hearted. Dan, you were a great friend to your friends and so much more to your family. Your obituary reads that a bright light is gone from this world, your bright light will shine as long as anyone who has ever know you is still around. You will always be missed but never be gone. I will always remember you as a bright light that shined on my life and so many others. Your bright light shined again today as you brought so many people who loved you together. You were loved and will be missed. See you on the other side.

We are extremely saddened by Dan's untimely passing. He was always a pleasure to be around. Our love, prayers and deepest sympathy go to his family at this difficult time.

Hard to express in words how sorry I am for your loss. Dan was always willing to roll up his sleeves and help no matter what the situation. He will be truly missed.

Sorry about your loss, I worked with Dan at EJLL, and ran into him during the strike when he was in the field. He will be missed by one and all that knew him. When you need something reach out to your extended family here in Essex Jct, EJLL and friends around the village.

Thank you for the very nice memories and thoughts about my brother, Danny. Since the details have not been updated, I wanted to share that his funeral will take place at the main chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY at 1:30 pm on Friday, August 26.

Dan made such a positive impression on those around him, and we always enjoyed chatting baseball or family with him when our paths crossed. I am shocked and saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Dan on projects at FairPoint. He was kind, witty, funny, and always professional. He adored his family and loved telling me about his kids. My heart goes out to everyone. I am very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. You don't find people like Dan very often. Dan was a huge part of Essex Junction Little League. His time spent as Tournament Director during All-Stars was a big part of why our tournaments were so successful. Because of this, he not only touched the lives of his own kids, but hundreds of others as well.

Tragic! Big loss for his personal and work families as well as the community! He always had a "can-do" attitude and no challenge was too big to tackle. A good man.... Gone too soon!

"Dan, Dan the telephone man". A neighbor for a short time in Briarcliff NY but someone that made a lasting impact on my life. I knew Dan for a few months after getting married and moving to the apartments. He was a great person, awesome to hang out with and most of all sharp as could be. He helped me wire a commercial building for phone and internet without any issue and gifted me with a world of knowledge and experience. May he rest in peace. He will be missed, deepest and sincere condolences to his family and children you will be in our hearts and prayers .

As a former colleague, I thought the world of Dan. I send you blessings in this time of sorrow.

Our deepest sympathies to the Meskill family. Danny was truly a person of quality. I have had the pleasure of working with him for the past six years, while on the Implementation team at Fairpoint. I cannot express the sadness and sense of loss, that I feel with his passing. He was a true gentlemen. We loved to talk about our NY Penn league teams. I had the pleasure of having him to two games last season in Lowell, MA. He will be missed by all who worked with him on a daily basis.

To the family of Dan Meskill I am sorry for you're loss at his young age.I'm retired from Fairpoint but I remember Dan from work as a pleasant worker to be around.May he rest in peace.

To the Meskill family, sorry for your loss. I remember fun times as a kid playing over in Bedford. You guys had the best basement full of toys. Danny was a sweet kid and a kind soul.

I knew participating in any kind of FairPoint event meant that I would get to spend time with Dan; and I looked forward to it. It won't be the same and he'll be sorely missed by me and everyone here. He already is. My sympathies to his children, whom I know he loved more than anything, and to the rest of his family.

Although I did not know Danny personally, I recognize the attributes that describe him, because they describe the entire Meskill family. My deepest and most sincere condolences are given to this wonderful family. I pray for their peace here on earth and Danny's everlasting peace in Heaven.
