Daniel Joseph Mines, 51 passed away at the St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN on Friday, July 11, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, with a visitation held an hour before the service. Father Kurt Farrell will be officiating.

Daniel Joseph Mines was born on December 19, 1973 in Brookings, South Dakota to Dave and Peggy Mines.

Dan lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, driving, around, but most of all he enjoyed listening to his music! He always had some sort of tunes playing. As a young boy, he always had a transistor radio up to his ear as he was riding his Big Wheel. He really like helping people, from mowing the grass in the summer, to shoveling snow in the winter.

He will be really missed by his whole family.

Dan is survived in death by his son Isaac from Oronoco, MN; daughter Anna from Roseville, MN; parents Dave and Peggy Mines from Glenville; brother Chad from Gleville; and his sister Lori (Brad) Nelson from Owatonna.

Dan is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Genevieve Mines, and Syd and Audry Nelson.

The service will be live-streamed, and can be watched below, or from the following link: https://youtube.com/live/4p1sMjR6xDY?feature=share
