In my mid-forties, I can count on one hand how many people have ever cut my hair. In my adult life, only three. And for the past eight years-ever since I moved to Berlin-I had the privilege of having Dan as my barber.
That privilege wasn´t just that Dan gave great haircuts. It was that for those 30+ minutes in his chair, I had a friend.
There was a running joke in our house: every five weeks it would be time for a haircut, and I´d tell my wife, "I´m running to get my haircut-I´ll be back in 30 minutes or so." She´d smile and reply, "Right... your haircuts never take 30 minutes." Because with Dan, it never was just a haircut.
We´d talk-about our Eagles/Phillies, about what it means to be a father and how to be a good one, and most of all, about our relationship with Jesus. Dan had a way of making you feel seen and cared for. He didn´t just work with his hands-he ministered with his heart. Every conversation carried encouragement, wisdom, and genuine love.
Dan was loved by so many of his clients not only because of his talent, but because of who he was: a steady presence, a listening ear, and a man of faith who poured into others one chair at a time.
You will be missed dearly, Dan. But I´m grateful for every conversation, every laugh, and every reminder of what matters most.
Until we meet again-rejoicing in heaven, in our Savior´s love and grace.

So sorry for your loss Kathy and family. Danny was a dear friend to my husband myself and my family . I always loved listening to him when he was cutting Cookie's hair. He always a kind story to tell or good advice. The last few years he would come to my house because my husband was unable to get out of the house. He never came empty handed either. It was either a basket of apples, peaches, or strawberries. Rest in peace Danny you are now with one of your best friends and my best friend. Love Diane Messina
