A heroic and dedicated life! I was present as a very young boy at Fr. Morrissey's very first mass in Wisconsin. When he dropped in on my family in my pre-teen years, I remember thinking, "This is a very, very smart guy." That was not a trivial impression. It led me to think that I was supposed to get really smart, carry myself as he did, and do good in the world. Not that I could keep up with what Fr. Morrisey accomplished. but he led me to try. Peace to him and those who grieve his loss.

He was a fantastic person. I loved my association with him, which was through the Power family. A very kind and good man.
