Uncle Dan,
I will always remember you as a kind and loving person! I have fond memories of visiting Upper and staying at 215 Maple Drive. We´d catch fireflies in the backyard and play hide & seek downstairs. One year, you, Teresa and Nate made a visit to Minneapolis. It was special and fun to have you visit us.
You always made our time together special:)
We love you and miss you. Rest in peace. Ryan and Megan

I have always liked my brother Dan. Although I was 3 years older than Dan (and when you´re young, that´s a big difference), we didn´t spend much time together. But as we grew older and had time to get to know each other again, I discovered a completely interesting person. I believe Dan had the most gentle soul of anyone I´ve ever met. Dan was a very humble and quiet person. I can never remember him talking about himself. I´ll always remember how great it was to see him. Always with a smile. He was an honest, hard-working and honorable person. The way he helped my Dad take care of my Mother as her health was slowly taking her and how so diligently he took care of my Dad in his final years. I was always proud to be his brother and he will surely be greatly blessed in heaven for how he took care of his parents in their later years.

After Dan met and married Teresa, things only got better. Teresa was his anchor. She gave him a sense of direction and supported him to the very end. These two people were always so in love and were made for each other. It was always fun to be around them. Luz and I are really going to miss him, but we know, we will meet him again.

Teresa,

I am so sorry for your loss. My father, Kevin, has kept our family updated as things progress, and I can't imagine how strong you are. Chika and I are so sorry for your loss.

Thinking back to when I was younger, I always loved to come to Upper Sandusky from Akron during Christmas or the Summer to visit you and Dan and stay at Grandpa Newman's old house. In Upper, it was always more relaxed, fun, and yummier food at the Newmans than at the Bellassai's. For some reason, I remember Dan having an orange and see-through Apple desktop computer that I thought was SO SO COOL. Wow, technology has changed.

I am so glad I was able to visit the Upper a few years ago and have some great BBQ.

We love you and are praying for you and Dan.

Love,
Chika and David Newman

I will always remember how Dan took care of me as we were growing up. Though he was three years older, he always let me tag along with him and his best friend David Lawrence.
We´d ride our bikes all over Upper Sandusky and fish a lot at the pond in Harrison Smith Park and on the Sandusky river in Smithville. While Dan was shy, he was a much stronger individual than many people may have known. He cared about others and I know, he helped many people find a better life.
I know Dan is in a much better place now and while I will miss him, I take comfort knowing he is still watching over us from above.

I will remember Dan as a very kind and gentle man. What I remember most about Dan was how humble and with grace he cared for his father, Darys Newman, in the last years of his life. It took patience and courage to be there to help and support his dad. He was a very dedicated son. May we all find comfort knowing that Dan is now reunited with Darys, Rachel and Bill. May God bless you! We love you Dan! Anne Newman
