As the History Club was completing its book project that covered the duration of the Irish American Home Society, Dan connected with me and said--"We have some new things planned for the History Club as Maureen begins to pass the reigns onto the next generation of leaders at the club." He would have continued to able to apply his supremely talented diplomacy in that particular process with sometimes very powerful Irish ladies!

Dan, I tipped my annual St. Patrick's Day Guinness to you this year--two days early, after attending your visitation and meeting your wife for the first time. I am saddened we could not get you both to my house before you left. I hope she still gets an opportunity to break bread with me and the community in the future.

Best wishes in the lifetime!

I'm humbled to have known Dan while working on F.D. & serving on Emerald Society, we marched, played golf, travelled to Ireland & knocked a few Guinesses back, a class guy who would engage you with jokes as easily as a strong willed argument but follow up with a big hearted act of generosity and Comaraderie, a true Gentleman highly respected by his piers!
His accomplishments were more than most so let his life shine a bright beacon for all to be proud-well done Danny Boy, well done!

A good human being who fought for what he believed in. Attended a rally at the HFD headquarters for Dan jr in support of an issue he believed in. I marched with his dad D/C Dan Nolan. We had a discussion on how proud he was of Dan jr. One of a kind was Dan jr.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Know that Jesus has welcomed him into heaven and you will be together again!

I did not know him but heard about him watching the Saint Patrick´s Day parade on TV this morning. I felt compelled to offer my condolences especially after reading his obituary!! What a wonderful man to have offered so much to the world in a relatively short life!!

Very Sincerely,
Sharon

Rest in peace...

WOW!

A far-too short life, yet nothing short of amazing.

Beyond admirable and inspirational, to say the very least.
