Obituary of Daniel Nucera
Daniel Nucera passed peacefully with his family by his side on May 22,2022, in Venice, Florida, after suffering a stroke, at age 84. Daniel was born in Trenton, New Jersey and grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, graduating there in the class of 1956. He then served in the National Guard, and was a woodworking craftsman for most of his life. He and his wife Joan (nee. Pollina) also lived in Lake Ridge, Toms River for 25 years and for five years in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dan was an avid gardener and would always be working on projects for his home and garden. He enjoyed Bocci and WWll History, between the many trips he and his wife Joan took, along the East Coast and abroad, over the years. Daniel is survived by his wife Joan of 57 years, and their four children. Christine Sadel, her husband Howard, Carole Cassella, Donna Nucera and Frank Nucera and his wife Traci (nee. Riso) along with 9 grandchildren. The grandchildren Nicholas, Hannah, Julia, Tyler, Sophia, Dominic, Matthew, Daniel and Michael all knew him as "Poppy". He was known to be a kind man who was more on the quiet side unless he became engaged in conversation from history to current events. He was always willing to lend a hand to help fix or build something and took great pride in his work. His presence will be missed. Condolences can be sent through Facebook @Joan Pollina Nucera or on Messenger.
