Daniel O’Klock, 75, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on February 27, 1950, in East Moline (Silvis), Illinois. Daniel was the son of Max and Halean (Waddell) O’Klock. Dan graduated from United Township High School in 1969 and served in the United States Army, later became a part of the Green Beret Special Forces division.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army Dan gained employment throughout his life as a longshoreman working as a heavy machine operator in Southern Louisiana. He also was an independent owner/operator hauling mail for the USPS in Brainerd, Minnesota as well as road construction throughout central Minnesota.
In 1972, Daniel married Diane Mathias in East Moline (Silvis), Illinois, and then in 1973 fulfilled his childhood dream by moving to Central Minnesota where he often visited as a child. Dan and Diane raised three daughters and shared 53 wonderful years together.
Dan also a proud member of the American Legion.
Daniel had a passion for hunting and fishing. His hobbies were bird watching and woodworking. He loved his truck and enjoyed his iPad. But his greatest pleasure came from relaxing and spending quality time with family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane O’Klock; their children, Christi Weise (Chad), Wendy Huber (Trevor), and Jennifer Dingman (Jeremiah), all of Minnesota; grandchildren Landon Huber, Keaton Dingman, Wyatt Huber, Jayden Huber, and Alyvia Dingman; and his sister, Taryn Schultz (Bruce).
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Halean O’Klock. Cremation is planned in honor of Daniel, which then the family intends to take Daniel’s cremated remains back to Minnesota for a military ceremony and celebration of life with family and friends.
