Daniel Thaddeus Plourde
"Loving grandson, nephew, and cousin"
Daniel Thaddeus Plourde, 30, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of Heaven on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after a short courageous battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor.
Daniel was born in Waterbury on August 21, 1993, son of the late John Cipolla and the late Sandra M. Plourde. He graduated from SS Pete & Paul Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School Class of 2011. He was currently employed at Whole Foods in Cheshire and prior at Stop & Shop Grocery Store in Waterbury. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, landscaping, and baseball.
Daniel leaves to honor and cherish his memory; his maternal grandparents, Samuel and Geraldine Plourde with whom he lived in Waterbury; paternal grandparents, John and Terri Cipolla of Brookfield; 2 aunts, Lisa Perugini of Wolcott and Tracy Straiton of Brookfield; several cousins including, Michael and Jordan Perugini of Waterbury whom he grew up with and were like brothers to him and Natalia Straiton of Brookfield; and many additional family members and friends. Daniel also leaves his beloved niece, Vivianna Dooley, whom he loved to torture and tease and then make her popcorn. He will also be missed by the family pet Haylee. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an uncle Samuel Plourde Jr. and an aunt Christine Plourde.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with Dan's cremains present will be held Saturday November 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Church 62 St. Michael's Drive Waterbury. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with Dan's arrangements.
