Daniel Polendo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Apr. 25, 2025.
Daniel Polendo, born on February 14, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, he passed away peacefully
at his home on April 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Daniel graduated from Luther Burbank High School in 1987. He discovered his love for cars at
an early age while working alongside his father, Daniel J. Polendo, and his brother, Jason M.
Polendo. It was during those early years that he developed a passion for welding, mechanics,
paint and body work-skills that became his lifelong pursuit.
Whether he was restoring vehicles or lending a hand to friends in need, Daniel's craftsmanship
was only surpassed by the kindness and generosity he showed to everyone around him.
When he wasn't working on cars, Daniel loved spending weekends at the swap meet with friends
or enjoying peaceful fishing trips with his brother. He had a special passion for collecting
stickers and vintage toys, always searching for that unique find to add to his growing collection.
But above all, his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his loyal dog, Rex, and his
beloved family and mom whom he never failed to bring barbacoa every Saturday morning.
Daniel was always ready to share a story, a laugh, or a warm embrace, leaving behind memories
full of love and warmth.
He also found great joy in cheering on his nephews at their football games, proudly supporting
them from the sidelines with a smile and words of encouragement. Daniel's legacy is one of
kindness, love, and quiet strength – a man who gave his best to the world and asked for little in
return.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Sylvia F. Polendo, and siblings: Nadine & Jose Stone,
Jennifer N. & Kimberly A. Polendo, Jason M. Polendo and Christina Lopez, Jaclyn &
Derick Brown, and Janel K. Polendo and John Michael Esparza. He also leaves behind his
beloved nieces and nephews, his loyal dog, Rex and a lifetime of cherished memories that will
live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel J.
