November 28, 2005
Dear Kathy and family;
We are sorry to hear about the loss of your husband Danny. I met you guys when I was little and I remember the blockparty's you put on for the whole neighborhood and how much fun everyone had! Barry Rousseau is in Florida with no internet service so I told him the sad news. He told me to tell you that he will deeply miss Danny and told me all the fun times everyone had in the band.
Also, Paul and Joyce Berry are keeping your family in their prayers.
With regards, Bobbi Joe Berry, Barry Rousseau, Paul Berry, and Joyce Berry.

Danny was and is one of those special friends that come along in life. When informed of his passing I wrote a mutual friend that "Danny
could have been a Star", after thinking about it for a day I changed my mind. Danny R. Pomerleau
"WAS A STAR". He starred in the things that were truley important to him, his wonderful and loving family. They were and I'm sure, still are, more important and more priceless to him than any private jet, house in the hills, or the fleeting fame that would come from it all. Danny made a commitment to what he really wanted and would make him happy in life, his wife and his children, Danny then stayed true to his decision.
I love and respect him for it.
I'll miss my friend

First and foremost my condolences and prayers to his wife, children and grandchildren. Although I haven't seen Danny in nearly 40 years, I'm sure his music is still echoing off the mountain tops of Asamara Ethiopia where I met him. And in my heart I know when Gabriel blew his horm, Danny started playing his guitar along with him...

Kathy,Danny and John,
I still remember the day we met you all as we moved into a new neighborhood at the same time. And all the fun times we had in that neighborhood as we watched the kids grow. There was never a dull moment! But it was always fun. Here we are 15 or so years later and although we moved out of the neighborhood we still remain friends. Because that's what true friends are. We'll miss Dan so much. As much fun as it was to see Dan on stage, I will really miss the times that there were just a few us sitting around while Dan, Tommy and Nappy were jamming. I would get so mezmorized by Dan's playing. He had such talent. I'm so glad that you guys came into our lives. Take care. Love you all.

Hi Kathy and Family,
In the 30+ years that I knew Dan, also the 5 years together in "4 Hits and A Miss", I got to know Dan very well. His talent as a musician was only superceded by his kindness. We shared a closeness on many songs that we sang together that went deep. Especially a Bee Gee song called "Words".
He will be missed and the music field suffered a great loss.

Kathy & family,
I will always remember seeing Dan's smiling face early each morning as I was out walking my dog in the neighborhood and he was leaving to get his coffee. He always took a second to smile and wave. Knowing he was there was a comfort to me and made me feel less alone so early in the morning. He is already deeply missed. You and your family are, and will remain, in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Kathy and family...I was both shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Danny's passing. I didn't know him well, but what I knew of him he was an amazing musician and a good, kind man. It was very obvious how much he loved his music, friends, and most of all, his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this very sad and difficult time. God Bless each and every one of you.

I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Danny's demise. It felt like I had lost a member of my own family when I heard the terrible news. Even though the band members of Four Hits and A Miss do not see each other often these days, I think we will always feel that we had a very special bond and were like a family for the many years that we were together as a group in the 1970's. Our brief reunion in the summer of 2003 brought back some great memories to all of us as we reminisced and laughed and sang together for about an hour. I am extremely grateful for that moment in time. I am so glad that my husband and I were able to attend Danny's recent 60th birthday party this past July because that was the last time that we saw him. He was in his glory seeing all of his family and friends there to celebrate this milestone in his life. And, then, watching him play with all of his longtime musician friends was an added treat for both us and him, I am sure. I think all will agree that whatever musical group Danny was a part of, he was definitely the star, the glue, the presence. His unique style and sound permeated every song each of us performed and we all looked and sounded better because of his musical contribution to it. He will definitely be missed by his many fans and musician friends who were always lifted and entertained by his phenomenal musical talent. There will definitely be "A Hole in the World" tonight and forever more as we say good-bye to an extraordinaly talented and caring man and a very special friend. As much as he loved his music, we always knew that Danny was exceptionally proud of and loved his family with all of his heart. My deepest sympathy to Kathy and all of Danny's children and grandchildren and all other immediate and extended family members. We all share your loss and will miss him and remember him in our own individual way. Sincerely, Marilyn Berry
