I met Dan probably 15 years ago and although the food industry is how we met our friendship grew for both of our loves of classic cars and Harley Davidson. Every year before my motorcycle trip vacation I would always get ideas and go over my route with Dan as he always knew!!! We even did some riding together. Dan was not only a customer but most of all a true friend. You are missed Dan. Keep riding your Harley in those pretty blue skies.

Dan, A Legacy I Cherish and so proud to be a part of. It started for many of us at that skating rink on Virginia Ave. and continued to Lincoln Blvd. Dan worked as hard as he played.
One example in 2010 (article in pictures) The sky is no limit! One of the largest national networks of food distribution wrote an article on just how far Dan would go to take care of his customers. His loyalty continued after closing Dan´s Food Service. Because of Dan I met so many amazing people.
One of those amazing people is his Daughter Danielle. I had the privilege to watch her grow into the Beautiful amazing person, Wife, Mother, Author, and Friend she is. I´m blessed to be part of the Purvis family. I truly cherish Dan and the many years we shared.
I will miss our laughter, our friendship, our love, our bad jokes, and our good and bad recipes. We never told each other goodbye, Dan always said "Merry Christmas" I always said "Fleas on your Dog "!
God must have a special place in heaven for Dan.
Forever
RIP

Dan was a good friend.
Quick Story
One day, about 10 years ago, Dan showed up at my office unannounced (I was a VP for a convenience store chain). At the time we were evaluating different food offerings.
The receptionist insisted that I come down and do something about "this man".
Dan was standing in the front lobby and as soon as our eyes met, he says; "Hey Tom, I got a makeup table in the back of my pick-up truck. Let's make some pizza."
It was the beginning of what turned out to be a great friendship. Over the next several years, Dan, my wife and I shared many a great dinner.
Dan had gumption. His enthusiasm was contagious. He loved doing "his thing". Friendly, kind, decent and just a fun person to be around.
Because of Dan, I became a better person. He will be deeply missed, and I am forever grateful for having known him.
R.I.P Dan.
