Daniel Hernandez-Recoder, age 42, of Anaheim, California, passed away on August 9, 2025
surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Mexico but raised in Southern California in a close and loving family, Daniel grew up
with strong values of hard work, kindness, and togetherness. He carried those values into his
career, dedicating many years to the world of food service.
Outside of work, Daniel was a man of many passions. He loved photography, capturing special
moments and everyday beauty. Music and art were always close to his heart, filling his life with
color and inspiration. He loved cooking and spending time outdoors with his dogs. Most of all,
he loved being with his family and friends.
Daniel believed deeply in helping those less fortunate. He was always willing to give to those in
need and never hesitated to lend a hand when his family needed him most. His greatest joy
came from caring for the people he loved, and he held a special place in his heart for his six
nieces and nephews, who adored him in return. He shared his life with his partner, Maria
Barrera.
Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart, his selflessness, and his easy-going nature. He
leaves behind his partner Maria and two dogs, his mother Eva Recoder-Luna, sisters and nieces
and nephews and a large extended family and circle of friends who will always carry his
memory with them.
Though Daniel is no longer here, his kindness and generosity are woven into the fabric of our
lives, reminding us every day of the beautiful soul we were blessed to know.
