Daniel Robaczewski Obituary

Daniel Robaczewski
Born: December 23, 1963 in Chicago
Died: February 11, 2024 in Park Ridge, IL
Daniel Robaczewski, 60, of Volo, passed away with his loving wife by his side after a valiant battle with calciphylaxis. He was born on December 23, 1963 in Chicago to Donald and Camille (Pace) Robaczewski. He married Michelle Pahlke on October 27, 2001. He was a beloved husband, brother, son and uncle.
Dan, who had many nicknames - Danny, Spud, Danimal, and Scooter Dan - was known for his love of family, music, sports, Legos, and his cats. An avid Chicago sports fan, Dan's heart belonged to the White Sox. Despite facing challenges, he continued to find joy in life.
Dan worked at Lehigh Press Colortronics/Anthology Inc for 26 years starting in 1983. He loved the transition to computers and desktop publishing. He started his union apprenticeship in 1985 which led to him joining the Union Printcraft International Golf Assoc. He looked forward to the yearly international tournament trip and to the start each year of the local Monday league, where he served as secretary. Even after he lost his leg he remained involved as much as he could.
The last few years he enjoyed riding through the neighborhood on his scooter, music playing and singing his heart out. He was really happy being part of the Andare community and looked forward to seeing everyone at all of the events and get togethers.
Dan will be deeply missed by his wife, Michelle, his brother Thomas (Marilyn) Robaczewski, his sisters Therese "Terri" (Ronald) Malek and Denise Robaczewski, his father-in-law Kent Pahlke, his brothers-in-law Michael and Matthew (Kristy) Pahlke, and sister-in-law Melissa (Stephen Whittenhall) Pahlke, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, a great niece, and a great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Camille Robaczewski, and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Pahlke.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 2, 2024 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the Andare Clubhouse 1844 Alta Dr Volo IL 60020. To honor Dan's love of sports please wear your favorite team gear.

We wish to express our sympathy to the family. Please know of our prayers for Danny. His parents were good friends with Ron Sr. as well as with me. Now he is with with his parents in God's Loving Arms. We will enroll Danny for Masses in one of our Missions that we support. I also mentioned him to St. John's Knights of Columbus where his Dad was Grand Knight. Peace and love,
Christine Marulewski and family
