Daniel “Dan” C. Roberge, formerly of Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully in Lady Lake, FL on November 25, 2025 at the age of 71. He was born in Berlin on December 9th, 1953 to Clement and Lorraine (Daigle) Roberge, the eldest of three sons.

Dan was independent, honest and direct, a deep thinker, a dry wit, a loyal friend, and a prolific artist. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of all things art, music, and film and he lived consistently eager to learn something new. Known for always presenting a fresh perspective, he expressed his views of the natural and metaphysical world through painting, photography, and graphic design. He leaves behind a legacy of artwork that can be found in homes throughout the North Country of New Hampshire and beyond. He maintained deep friendships and talked with pride about those he cared for. Dan was generous with his time and talents, devoting countless hours to The Gorham Players and Theatre North as a set painter and poster designer, to supporting younger artists, and to editing and sharing photos with friends and family. Dan cherished the time he spent with his brothers and friends, supporting local music and traveling to see the greatest rock bands of the 20th Century. Dan was Dan until the very end, making his caregivers laugh with his sharp wit and challenging the thinking of his loyal friends.

Dan was a graduate of Berlin High School and of New Hampshire Technical College where he studied drafting. He worked briefly as a draftsman in Boston and then spent many years employed at James River and Crown Vantage Paper Mill.

He is survived by his two brothers, Normand "Gord" (Janet Demers), and Ronald (Sharon Fletcher), one nephew, Brian Roberge, and two nieces, Stacey (Roberge) Kinnison and husband Chris, and Janel Roberge, along with many friends and fans of his artwork. He is predeceased by his parents, Clement and Lorraine (Daigle) Roberge. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dan's good friends, David Blais and Rod & Debbie Ross for all they have done for Dan in recent years.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer with details to be shared at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Home of Berlin, NH. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts Memorial Fund (155 Emery St. Berlin, NH 03570) in honor of this lifelong love of the arts.
