Just found about it tonight from Joe McBride. We go back a lot of years. Was a good thing cell phones were not invented yet. Thank you for all the memories we share. Via con dios my old friend.

After flying over 25 years with Dan and being 16 years younger then me, it just doesn't seem fair. Dan had a family that loved him and he will be missed dearly. He loved flying and was able to continue until who knows when before his death. He was like a younger brother but a good friend as well. He took flying seriously and needs to be remembered as a by the book pilot with a good sense of humor. Boy, did we ever learn to laugh and find humor when we needed it. He's a memory now that brings on a smile out of the clear blue sky just driving down the road. On longer over nights Dan had a saddened demeanor brought on by missing Deb and the family. Rest in peace Dan and thanks for the memories.

This breaks my heart! Dan was one of the most genuine people I've ever met. I was at the downtown airport for 13 years and got to see him and the girls regularly. When I left the airport he would message me on LinkedIn and I loved getting his messages. He will be missed terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family that I know he loved so much. Rest In Paradise, Dan.

As of our first meeting, I knew Dan was going to be my best friend. My family was moving into our house on 57th St. in 1967 and I was sitting on the tailgate of the moving van, upset because I didn't know anybody in this new neighborhood. Dan came through the bushes and asked me if I wanted to share his peanut butter sandwich. We became instant friends and I never thought that friendship would end. It would take many, many years until we didn't see each other every single day, but we always stayed in contact. I will miss one of my first and dearest friends as much as anybody can be missed. All my love and thoughts to Debbie and his family.
