Daniel K. Schillinger, age 60 of Shaler Township, was born on March 22, 1963 and departed peacefully on March 1, 2024 surrounded by loving family.
Strong family values were instilled in Dan by his parents Clara and Donald Schillinger of Brighton Heights who preceded him in death. In his youth, Dan loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed camping, archery and hunting with his friends and family. Later in life, although somewhat compromised, Dan rode his bicycle or walked around his apartment complex helping friends and acquaintances with various chores. Dan was incredibly kind and funny, making jokes with his hilariously sarcastic sense of humor.
Aside from his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his oldest brother William J. Schillinger just three months ago in December 2023 and, his Godson and nephew Nicholas Miller tragically in November 1998.
In addition to Bill, Dan has three loving siblings, Sandy (Russ) Granberg of Carlisle, PA; Shirley (Gary) Sestric of Mount Washington, PA; Tim (Janine) Schillinger of Pittsburgh, PA as well as his sister-in-lawAdriana Alatorre (Schillinger) of Gibsonia, PA. Dan's family also includes nieces, Jessica (Frank) Miller, Erin (Cameron) Lance, Kate Schillinger and nephew Kevin Schillinger. Dan was also loved by his great niece, Madilyn McClain and his soon-to-be great niece Lilliana Lance in May of 2024.
Family will receive visitors Monday, 4-8PM at O'Brien's 3724 California at Cooper Aves., N.S. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10AM in Christ Our Savior Parish - St. Cyril of Alexandria Church. Interment to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
