Daniel Schulken Obituary

Daniel Schulken MT. PLEASANT - Daniel G. Schulken, 74, loving husband of Martha Berry Schulken (Marty), entered into eternal rest on January 29, 2024. Daniel was born, May 27, 1949, to the late Frank and Shirley Schulken. Daniel was a Charleston Fireman until he retired after 33 yrs. as a Captain. He was also a commercial sign maker who specialized in hand lettering, gold leaf, and silk screening. He loved different aspects of Martial arts of which he had 9 black belts. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife; 3 children, Danny, of Goose Creek, Katie of Mt. Pleasant, and Nikki of Columbia, SC; 4 Grandchildren, Elizabeth of Mt. Pleasant, Lee and Ellie of Goose Creek, and Max of Columbia; and a great-grandchild, Ava Thorne of Mt. Pleasant; his sister, Katherine Oakley of Summerton, SC, and CW. His celebration of life will be held at Hibben, UMC, 690 Coleman Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. Arrangements by Charleston Cremation Center. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to firefightersupport.org.
