Daniel C Sharp

Daniel C. Sharp, 75 years old of Loranger, passed away at home Thursday, May 29, 2014, with his family at his side. He was born on Tuesday, May 16, 1939, in Covington, Louisiana to Emma Sharp. Daniel served our country proudly in the United States Army Daniel enjoyed life and loved coon hunting, farming and telling stories but especially loved his family. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Debra Miller Sharp; his daughter & son-in-law, Yvonne and Rusty Robinson; son, Royce Sharp; 3 grandchildren, Dustin Robinson, Haley Robinson, and Kayden Pierre; 3 brothers, Michael Jarrell and his wife Flora, Eugene Sharp and his wife Eleanor, and Dale Sharp and his wife Marlene; 5 sisters, Alice Pierre and her husband Joe, Lorraine Thompson and her husband Wayne, Debbie Smith and her husband Gary, Linda Jarrell, and Barbara Randall and her husband Greg, also many nieces, nephews and close friends Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Sharp; his daughter, Alice Sharp; his granddaughter, Heather Robinson; and 2 brothers, Royce and Buddy Sharp. Family will receive friends Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Monday, June 2, 2014 from 9:00am - 11:00am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service celebrating Daniel's life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Uneedus.
