Daniel Robert Sheldon, 57, of Ladson, SC, husband of Vicki Sheldon died Friday. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the J HENRY STUHR NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Mr. Sheldon was born on November 24, 1954 in Oswego, NY, son of the late Robert Edward Sheldon and the late Janet Shirley King Sheldon. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Charleston. He was born and grew up in Oswego, NY and graduated from Oswego High School. He moved to Charleston and has been a resident for 22 years. Dan loved to laugh and he lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed helping others. Dan was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed boating. He is survived by his wife Vicki Sheldon of Ladson, SC; son, Lucas Michael (Dusti) Sheldon of Ocean Springs, MS; step-daughter, Emily (Joseph) Register; granddaughters, Loxley Sheldon of Ocean Springs, MS and Aviana Sheldon of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Kathy (Lou) Stoner of Oswego, NY; brother, Gary Sheldon of Pulaski, NY; sisters: Linda (Randy) O'Donnell of Oswego, NY, Christine (Dan) Grieve of NH, Mary Beth McCracken of Beaufort, SC, Debbie (Matt) Hill of Oswego, NY and Cherie (Tom) Rollin of Oswego, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
