Daniel Shell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tim Stewart Funeral Home - Snellville on Feb. 6, 2026.
Daniel Carey "Danny" Shell, age 67, passed away on February 1, 2026.

Danny was born on September 23, 1958, to Etsel and Lois Shell. He was a life-time member of Snellville United Methodist Church. Danny loved and was loved by his church family. Danny proudly served in the United States Navy, where he had the opportunity to travel the world. His time in service was a meaningful chapter of his life and something he carried with pride. Danny enjoyed playing the harmonica, (badly) singing Christmas songs all year long, and spending time at the grill with a cold one in his hand.

He will be remembered for his strength, his presence, and the love he had for his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Mester of Cass City; sister and brother-in-law, Terisa and Tommy Scott; brothers, Ricky Shell and Craig Shell; stepmother, Sandy Shell; step sisters, Shannon Couch and Beth Allen; three grandchildren of Cass City, Brianna Mester, Jordan Mester (Jozie) and Brendon Mester; great-granddaughter, Everlee Mester; uncle, Richard Shell; many cousins, nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lee Shell; and parents, Lois Shell and Etsel Shell.

Danny lives on through the generations of family who loved him deeply. He will be missed and remembered always.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in the Chapel of Snellville Community Church, 2428 Main Street East, Snellville, with Dr. Jim Cantrell officiating.

Arrangements by Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. (770)-466-1544. Please sign the online guest registry at www.stewartfh.com.
