He was the beloved father of sweet Evelyn; D.J was the loving son of the late Thomas and Marcy (nee Walkowiak); the devoted brother of Jeffrey Skingel, Andrea Longo (Rick), and the late Kenneth Skingel; and the former companion of Nikki Vidal; former step father to Alexis, Braydon and Caylie, who brought joy to his life; adored uncle of Tyler, Rachel, Madison, Brandon, Alex, and Emily.
D.J. will be remembered for his giving heart, his devotion to his daughter and the deep bonds he shared with family and friends. In a final act of selflessness, he chose to be an organ donor, giving the gift of life and hope to others in need.
Private services will be held, as well as, a celebration of DJ's life at a date and time to be determined.

I love you baby. We had an amazing time with each other this past year. You truly were a blessing to me and my kids. We loved you more then anything. I'm glad I got to see you so happy and ready to settle down and get married. I'm sorry we didn't have the chance to make that happen. Everyday I will look up at the sky and think of you and how you are looking over me and my children. I love you Daniel. Forever and always

He would take me riding and hunting he would help me out when I needed he taught me how to work on things he took me to work with him and taught me things he helped me through a lot of hard situations.
