Daniel Leigh Strobridge

Daniel Leigh Strobridge, 78, of Spring Lake, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Durham V.A. Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 31, 1946, in Richmond, California, Daniel was the son of the late Oliver Bernard Strobridge and Dorothy Burkhart Strobridge Bute. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Daniel honorably served his country for six years. After his military service, he followed his passion for automobiles by founding and operating "Dan the Auto Doc," where he specialized in rebuilding cars and helping others with his mechanical expertise.

Daniel was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones. In earlier years, he enjoyed playing pool and always found joy in life's simple pleasures. One of his favorite routines was going out to dinner with his family and friends. He had a close bond and enduring love for his beloved wife, Lisa and son Matthew, who were his caregivers for the last several years of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Meade Strobridge; his son, Matthew John Strobridge; his daughters, Rachel Winscott and husband Charles, and Angela Jump; his brothers, Oliver Strobridge, and Rodney Bute and wife Mary; his sisters, Barbara Knapp and Judy Walters; and his cherished granddaughters, Lorelei and Sophia Winscott.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel.
