Daniel Strom Obituary
Daniel Lee Strom, 59 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 9th at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106 with the Neil Peck CLS of First United Methodist Church officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa.

Daniel was born March 27, 1966, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Burdette V. and Marguerite Ann (Church) Strom. He grew up in Vinton, IA while attending the Iowa Braille Sight Saving School. He graduated in 1986 and returned to Sioux City. He married Stacy Zortman on August 8, 1992, they later divorced. He worked at Sunrise Retirement in the custodial department and later for Goodwill Industries. He enjoyed volunteering and singing at local nursing homes and enjoyed playing in a band. Daniel played with Bob Merchant and The Shadows.
Daniel is survived by his uncles; Pete (Suzane) Strom, Rich (Rita) Strom, Kermit Strom, Orland Strom, Kevin (Kathy) Strom and aunt LaVonne Tuesink, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Burdette Strom Jr.
