Daniel Sturdevant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care - Zephyrhills Chapel on Feb. 4, 2026.
Daniel "Dan" Joseph Sturtevant, born on February 10th, 1948, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away on February 2nd, 2026, in the sunshine of Zephyrhills, Florida. He was 77 years young, a number he'd surely find some way to make into a joke, just like he did everything else.

Dan lived a life full of passion and purpose. A proud military veteran, he served as a K-9 handler in the United States Air Force. Dan then continued his life of public service as a police officer in Groveland, Massachusetts until he eventually traded in his badge for the tools of an HVAC maestro. As the proud owner and operator of Dan Sturtevant Heating & Air Conditioning in Epping, New Hampshire, Dan ensured that people stayed cool and cozy-and if you asked him, he'd probably say he also provided the "hottest" deals around.

An avid enthusiast of life on two wheels, Dan's heart truly roared when riding his motorcycle, especially with the Seacoast Harley Davidson crew and his brothers in the Iron Shields Motorcycle Club. He found serenity in fishing, wisdom in reading, and unmatched joy in cheering for his beloved Boston Red Sox-even during those seasons that tested his unwavering optimism.

Dan leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love with his devoted wife of 43 years, Debra. Together they raised a wonderful daughter, Erica, who, along with her husband, David Meisenheimer, blessed Dan with his pride and joy, granddaughter Harper. His sister Lisa Soiett, brother-in-law Blair Soiett, and niece Katherine Soiett, along with nephews Brian and Michael Greaney and their families, will carry on his memory with stories that are likely half true and entirely entertaining.

He is predeceased by his parents, Harold Francis and Arleen Marie (Murphy) Sturtevant, brother, William Sturtevant, and sister, Anne Greaney.
