Daniel Tearpock, 98, of Palm Coast, Florida.
It's with great sadness in our hearts that we say our earthly goodbye to Dan. Born in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania in 1928 to John and Emily Tearpock. Dan played drums as a 7-year-old in the Tearpock Family Band with mom, dad, brothers, Johnny and Vince, and sister Malvina. The band toured the Northeast. Dan served as a Sargent in the US Army at the end of WW2 and was part of the occupation force. He married Norma Zaleski of Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania. After a short stint in the coal mine, Dan started working in engineering for several rail car manufacturers beginning a long career in the transportation equipment industry. Norma and Dan lived in Iselin, New Jerey for many years. He retired from Elcon National as Director of Engineering. After retiring, Dan and Norma built their home in Palm Coast, Florida. They were longtime parishioners of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Palm Coast. Dan loved playing golf, building models, and playing organ. Sadly, Dan spent the last two years of life in Artis Memory Care of Palm Coast where he received wonderful care. Our thanks to their fine staff. Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Norma. Dan leaves daughter, Barbara (John) Tearpock Beca, of Canandaigua, New York; grandsons, Adam Beca of Bloomfield, New York and Daniel (Erin) Beca of Penfield, New York and great-grandsons Gavin, Ian, and Nathan Beca.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church located at 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Placement in the columbarium and honors will be presented immediately after Mass.

Donations in Dan's would be appreciated by the "Friends of Ontario Arc Foundation" 3071 County Complex Drive, Canandaigua, New York 14424 which supports services for his grandson Adam.
