Ianthy Aflensha Grant (Debbie) was born in Windsor Castle, St. Mary, Jamaica on April 7, 1969, to Carlton Grant and Greta Hyatt. She spent her early years in Jamaica. She attended Carron Hall Primary and Infant School, Highgate All Age and Dinthill Technical High before migrating to the United States. She obtained her GED then went on to attain a Licensed Practical Nursing degree, an Associates of Science in Nursing Degree then a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She was a loving, kind, and caring daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, friend and nurse. She had the most infectious smile that would brighten anyone's day. She enjoyed caring for and assisting others. Her life was filled with family and friends. She had a natural skill for making anyone feel valued and important. On Saturday April 26, 2025, Ianthy made her transition from this life peacefully.
Preceding her in death are Katherine Jackson (great grandmother) Quince Bucchanan (grand uncle) and Erica Grant (sister).
Those left to cherish Ianthy's memories are her parents Carlton Grant and Greta Hyatt. Grandmother Tama Blake, Stepdaughter Tamar, Stepmother Aelena. Siblings: Gawane, Pamela, Carland, Patrick, Aneita, Cidya and Mellissia. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews-notably Patrice and Shanice.
