Daniel Patrick Walsh Sr. passed away on July 4, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dan was the son of Daniel G. Walsh and Denise Lalka, and stepson of Joseph Lalka. He attended Bishop Egan High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.
In his later years, Dan devoted himself to helping others find sobriety through Alcoholics Anonymous. He volunteered for many years at Livengrin in the First Responders Addiction Treatment (FRAT) class, where he was a dedicated sponsor and a lifeline to many men working toward recovery. He considered this work one of his proudest accomplishments.
Dan loved hiking, the beach, and most importantly, he loved his three boys. With them he enjoyed playing basketball, watching paranormal movies, and endless conversations about life. You could always count on Dan for a good conversation about spirituality and music. He had a special knack for sidling next to the person who needed a friend or someone to talk to.
Dan is survived by his former wife, Amy Walsh, and their three beloved sons: Danny Walsh, Sean Walsh, and Collin Walsh. He is also survived by his fiancée, Patricia Kress, and her daughters Madison and Teagan, who he embraced with open arms. Dan leaves behind his sisters, Judy Brown (Mike Long) and Debbie Arthur; his nephews, Steven Arthur and Christian Brown; and his niece, Krysta Arthur.
A funeral service will be held at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Richboro Road,
Richboro, PA 18954, on Saturday, July 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This is a change from the previous start time of 10:00am. Luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gift of Life Foundation, where Dan gave his final gift by donating organs that saved four lives, or to RAINN.org, a cause close to his heart.
