Daniel Weber, 88, of
Louisville, Ohio, passed away on December 22, 2025, after a long battle with diabetes and a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. Dan was born in 1937 to John and Barbara (Skirtich) Weber in
Canton, Ohio. A proud Marine, Dan entered the service in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956, having served as an Arms Specialist. In 1963, Dan met the love of his life, Connie (Fenstemaker) Weber. He proposed on Sweetest Day in 1963 and the couple wed on June 6, 1964 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. These lovebirds celebrated their 6oth wedding anniversary in 2024 with their family of three daughters, three sons-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Daniel worked for 27 years at Tyson Bearing Plant in Massillon, Ohio. A lifelong classic car enthusiast and avid "road tripper," Daniel regaled his family with tales of the adventures around the country taken with Connie and their daughters. The most memorable was the trip out west in his beloved 1963 ½ Ford Falcon where they covered 8000 miles in two weeks. Dan and Connie often traveled to visit their daughters in other parts of the country and enjoyed going for drives in Amish Country.
While many remember Dan as the strong, silent type, his laugh will ring in the ears of his family and his smile when telling a story will not be forgotten. Dan loved watching westerns, military, and comedy movies and filled family time with movie lines from Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles. He never missed a chance to sing along with doo-wop, 40s, and Christmas Carols.
Dan is survived by his wife Connie of
Louisville, Ohio, daughters Connie (Dave) Hooks of Delta, Colorado, Deb (Bill) Long of
Louisville, Ohio and her two children Ian and Teagan; Jackie (Will) Weber of Bennettsville, South Carolina; his son, David (Lisa) Weber, of Beach City, Ohio, and their three daughters Tiffany, Thereasa, and Tashia, and his brother Tom Weber of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother John Weber, and sisters, Barbara Butorac, Elizabeth Wolkan.
Dan's family is grateful to the staff at Aultman Women's Board Compassionate Care Center for their thoughtful treatment of Dan and kindness to his family. A funeral service will be held at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in
Louisville, Ohio, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends and family starting at 10 a.m. Dan will be buried in the military section at Sunset Hills Cemetery in
