Daniel P. Westermeyer

1963 - 2024

Watertown, WI - Daniel "Dan" P. Westermeyer, 60 of Watertown, was called to heaven on Thursday, April 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at Aurora Medical Center Summit.

Dan was born on Nov. 23, 1963 and was raised in Watertown, WI, the son of Peter and Lyla Westermeyer. He was one of 4 siblings. Dan graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School. Shortly after, he was united in marriage to Holly Ewing and raised three wonderful children together. He worked as an apartment manager and at a sugar plant. Dan followed his passion of installing ceramic tile with his own tiling business for many years and was known to many as either "Dan the tile man" or "Dano". He was quite the "MacGyver" and could fix just about anything.

He loved sports and enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many years playing golf, volleyball, bags, and fishing. He amassed many accolades including a course championship at Windwood and a hole in one. Dano had a contagious laugh, and coupled with his quick wit and big smile could light up any room.

Dan is survived by his ex-wife Holly; children Josh (Rachel) Westermeyer, Justin Westermeyer, and Jenna (Keith) Budreau; grandchildren Daniel, Gavin, Ofelia, Kora, and Max. Father Peter Westermeyer; Siblings Barb (Scott) Krueger, Shari (Jeff) McGuire, Matthew (Heather) Westermeyer. Dan is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Dan is preceded in death by his mother Lyla, and grandchild John Peter.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Aurora Summit ICU for the loving care provided.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. A private burial will be held in the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown at a later date.
