Daniel Lee Williams, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Daniel was born on December 4, 1952, to his loving parents, Margaret and Fred Williams. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1971 to 1975. Following his military service, Daniel dedicated many years of hard work to the Southern Pacific Railroad, where he built a career and remained until his retirement in 1997.

In his retirement, Daniel embraced life to the fullest. He found great joy sailing his beloved Westsail 42, The Mallard, and spending time scuba diving—two passions that reflected his love for adventure and the open water. Above all, Daniel was a man of deep faith. His strong belief in God was the foundation of his life, and he found comfort and peace in knowing where he was going.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Fred Williams.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Lynne and Dana Lee; his brother, Jim and Mary Williams; his son, Jordan and Melissa Williams; and his cherished grandchildren, Trinity, Nathaniel, Dakota, and Willow Williams. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Terianna and Jimmy Pounds, Roxanna Goen, and Samuel and Stephanie Goen, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved dearly.

Daniel’s legacy of faith, service, and love for his family will be remembered always.

He will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
