Dan has been in my thoughts for the past few weeks, since I learned of his accident and subsequent passing. He was a great pal to me when we were in our teens. Some of us guys razzed him a bit for being "Mr. Set-up". Whatever the outing or event, Dan always wanted things prepped and in order. Fortunately for me he prepped some great times and included me in them - from a terrific camping trip (along with "Papa" Tom Murray), water-skiing at his folks trailer by a lake, tooling around in his jeep or cruising in his Dad's T-Bird, to some lively parties at the mini-tavern he fashioned next to the family garage. Memorable times - even the "day after" one of those debauches when Dan stopped by my house to chuckle with my Dad at the agony brought on by my indulging. Then he dragged me out for his patented miracle cure - a vanilla shake! Worked like a charm. I knew Dan as a genuine and decent guy. We were not close over the years, but each time I've seen him at our yearly gatherings these past two decades he has been the same good guy with a bright smile and that infectious laugh. As though we were still the goof balls of our youth. I loved him and am deeply saddened by his death. My heartfelt condolences to Tina and his entire family. Thanks Dan, for always being a pal. Ron
