Daniel Eugene Wright, 77, of Biglerville, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Middletown Home, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 15, 1948, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Bream) Wright.

Daniel was a proud graduate of Biglerville High School and went on to earn an associate's degree from HACC. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, most notably as the owner and operator of Wright 234 Diner, where he welcomed countless friends, neighbors, and travelers with a smile and good food.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Daniel served his country with honor and remained dedicated to fellow servicemen through his memberships with the American Legion and the Marine Corps League. He was also a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Daniel's interests were as unique as his sense of humor. He loved reading-especially the dictionary and encyclopedias-always eager to learn something new. He enjoyed watching movies, with a special fondness for Mr. Bean and classic westerns. He also had a passion for sport shooting, trains, and could always be counted on to crack a corny joke that brought smiles to those around him.

Above all, Daniel will be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud Marine, and a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He leaves behind his 2 sons, Jesse Wright and wife Donna, and Matthew Wright and wife Samantha; his 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Clayton, and Chloe; his brother Robert Wright; his sister, Polly Kittinger and husband James; and his nieces, Karen, Holly; and his ex-spouse, Ruth Sobotor.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Suite 100 Harrisburg, PA 17112 http://heart.org; or to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
