Daniel Wurdinger, life-long resident of Jacksonville, NC, has died unexpectedly on March 5, 2025, at the age of 39. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anderson.
Daniel was born at Camp LeJeune, NC on July 29, 1985. He graduated from Richlands High School in Richlands, NC. He entered the US Air Force in January of 2004, and served with the 355 Security Forces Squadron in Iraq before being discharged in February of 2007.
Daniel was a devoted father, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville at 1:00 pm with Rev. Frankie Hayden officiating. Burial to follow with Military Honors at 2:00 pm at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hr. prior to service.
Survivors include his father, Brett Wurdinger (Patricia); his brother, Michael Wurdinger; stepbrothers, Dennis Lucas and Michael Lucas; his children, De'Nae, Shamara, Nierra, Daniel II and Noah; his uncle, Timothy Grant; his niece Ma'Kya and a future granddaughter Kay'Lani.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project.
