I only just realized that Danielle was one of the nurses that took care of my stepdad when he was a patient on the Murray unit-just this same time of year in 2014. He and our family always enjoyed the days that she was his nurse. She was a delight and always has a smile on her face and a laugh to share. She was a wonderful nurse and a kind and compassionate. The kind of nurse we should all strive to be-I am also a nurse and nurse practitioner. After all nurse are just earthly angels without wings and now she has earned her wings. My step dad passed away in Feb of 2014 and I bet he was in heaven waiting to greet her because he never forgot his "favorite nurses" and she was one of them. May you carry her love in your heart forever and be comforted by the all the comfort she brought to others.

"Pie", I have been in shock since I received the news of your passing. My heart breaks because we only recently re-connected through Facebook and I along with our cousins was so looking forward to seeing you next year at the family/cousins reunion in Florida. I remember the summers you came to Maryland and spent time with the family. Those were always fun times. Through the years, although we lost touch, you were constantly on my mind. I will cherish your memory forever and I look forward to seeing you again, on the other side. In the meantime, take your rest. We loved you but God loved you best.
With all my love and a broken heart, your cousin,
Lisa Marie Colburn
