Her Legacy Danielle Joanne Mongrain, 25, passed away on March 20, 2024. She was born on December 5, 1998, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to William Mongrain and Julia (Dunsmore) Mongrain. Precious in every way, Danielle defied all odds. She was the heart of her parents and demonstrated daily the true joy of loving, fighting, and writing your own story. Danielle's family and friends loved her and will be dearly missed.
Her Family Danielle will be missed by her parents, William and Julia Mongrain; brother, Jacob Vanooyen; grandmother, Joanne Mongrain; aunts and uncles, Deborah Goik, Rebecca (David) Hauke, Laura (Rick) Rusak, Denise (Timothy) Underwood, Patrick (Kristin) Dunsmore, James (Eve) Dunsmore, Sharon Dunsmore; and many cousins, friends, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William Mongrain Gerald (Joanne) Dunsmore; uncles, Robert Goik and David Dunsmore; and her beloved cousins.
Her Farewell Danielle's family and friends will gather from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Community Farewell will be held at 11:00 AM (10:00 AM Gathering) on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Fr. Zaid Chabaan will serve as celebrant.
