Danita Joann Lloyd, 60, of Topeka, passed away September 17, 2025.
Danita was born in 1965 on the 21st day of June in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in Topeka, Kansas. She attended Roosevelt Junior High and Topeka High School where she graduated in 1983. Later she went on to earn her associate’s degree in Business Administration from Brown Mackie College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one of her many accomplishments that she was proud of and brought her joy. Danita’s hobbies included reading, as she loved books of many kinds, playing pool, listening to music of any style, and bringing people together through her great ability and passion for cooking and baking.
She was a very loving mother and a great friend. She will be remembered for her contagious laughter and her kind heart, of which could never be unheard or unfelt.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Jean Beard and brother James Lloyd that she has now reunited with. She is survived by her sons Mykel T. Lloyd, Dalton Lloyd-Becker, sister Jackie Kimble, and many close friends, all of which she loved very much.
May her kind spirit, love, laughter and strength carry on through all of the lives she touched and memories that will never be forgotten. May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life honoring Danita will take place at 9:30am Monday October 6, 2025 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home.
