Danny Lee Bowling, age 69, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Mary Bowling.
Danny loved the outdoors from the very beginning of his life. In the rain, sleet and snow, he would always brave the weather and find a way to go hunting. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter and an excellent fisherman. He was a certified taxidermist and took great pride into every detail of his trophies. He loved doing taxidermy, making knifes and telling hunting stories. He had a deep loved for his friends and loved with his whole heart. His fur baby "Dozer" was his his world. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia (Burdine) Bowling of Seymour, Indiana, two brothers, Doyle Bowling and his wife Peggy of Hyden, Kentucky and Taylor Bowling and his wife Trina of Roark, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry Bowling and Clyde Bowling. One sister, Doris Hilton and one step-son, Jeremy Townsend.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Steve Muster will officiate.
