Danny Lawrence Cannon

Danny Lawrence Cannon, age 79 passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Danny was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Chamblee, Ga. After high school, he served both in the Air Force and the National Guard, with a total of 29 years of service. After his service in the military, Danny went on to work for himself as a heavy equipment operator.
Danny had the honor of being married to the love of his life for 52 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who found great joy in spending time with his family. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as riding motorcycles and working on old cars.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Cannon; and siblings, Brian Cannon and Valerie Coalley.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Carmella Cannon; daughter, Nicole Griffin (Matt); siblings, William Coalley, and Clinda Coalley; and grandchildren, Madison Griffin, Lakin Griffin, and Brixton Griffin.
A visitation was held at Lakemont Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The funeral service took place at 2:30 p.m. with interment following in Wiley Cemetery.
